Participants in the BLSO Provider Course are required to have either a print or CD version of this syllabus.
The syllabus contains chapters and slides for each lecture and workstation, and will help you follow along during course sessions. It can also be used for ongoing reference in your practice, hospital, emergency response facilities, and more. The CD-ROM version is especially helpful with instant navigation from chapter to chapter, as well as quick and easy electronic topic search. All clinical information in the material is evidence-based and topics include: Normal Delivery, Emergency Prenatal Assessment, Maternal Resuscitation and Postpartum Hemorrhage; Breech, Twin Gestation, Cord Prolapse, and Other Malpresentations; Shoulder Dystocia; Hypertensive Emergencies; Preterm Labor and Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM); and Neonatal Resuscitation.
It will take approximately 8 hours to complete this syllabus during a BLSO Provider Course.
If ordering syllabi for a BLSO course, sponsors must submit their order on a BLSO Product Order form (available upon course approval by BLSO Program staff). Individuals registered for a BLSO Course will have their syllabus purchased and provided by the course sponsor. Other individuals may order up to three syllabi online, but will not receive continuing education credit or approved BLSO Provider Status.
