Description

Bethesda Family Medicine is an energetic community-based program with an emphasis on internal medicine and pediatrics. residents work side-by-side in the busy famiy medicine center with the faculty. Pediatrics is done at the world class Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center where BFM residents work together with pediatrtic residents. Scholarly activity is required and much support is given to accomplish this task. While we do not offer international medicine as part of our curriculum, we have made it possible (and will continue to do so) for residents to spend time in underserved countries such as Ecuador, Costa Rica and Syria. Such travels are at the residents' own expense, but elective time is given toward residency completion.
