Description

The Munson Family Practice Residency Program integrates osteopathic and allopathic medicine together, with the resources of Munson Medical Center, a regional referral center repeatedly named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the country by Thomson. This dually accredited 6/6/6 program accepts both DO and MD trainees. This program is affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) and with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSUCHM). This rural-based program is located in Traverse City, Michigan and is structured to train physicians for rural and small town practice. Ambulatory, hospital, and community based training are utilized throughout the residency. This residency offers a rare opportunity to advance your education in a truly remarkable geographic setting. Traverse City is the hub for a region with lakes, beaches, four seasons of outdoor activities, and cultural amenities beyond those usually found in other small town settings. The combination of a high quality health care system, a beautiful natural setting, and an innovative educational program make this an attractive residency training site.
